“Promad Foundation’s Mission Is To Bridge The Gap Between Rural Communities And The Government”, – Daisi Omokungbe

The Executive Director of Promad Foundation, Daisi Omokungbe has revealed that organisation’s mission is to narrow the gap between the local communities and the government through programmes which will focus on social accountability and youth empowerment.

“PROMAD’S mission is to bridge the gap between rural communities and the government through capacity-building programs with focus on social accountability, empowering youths to advocate for better service delivery through ethical engagement with government”, Daisi stated in his remarks.

The event which was held at the Nasarawa Luxury hotel in Lafia saw 13 Accountability Fellows representing each local government area in Nasarawa State, were inducted to interrogate government in open governance and fight against corruption. The 13 inducted fellows underwent 2 months intensive training on gender equality, reporting and monitoring government policies, Civic technologies and artificial intelligence, Human-Centered Design Lab planned in Lafia for stakeholders to share ideas and drive societal progress.

Other dignitaries present at the event includes Saleh Barde who is the Executive Chairman Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission and Prof. Adamu Bako, Executive Director Center for Citizens Rights and Mallam Yakubu Lamai (DG Strategic Communications to Governor of Nasarawa State).
