Nasarawa State FA Present As Akwanga Local Government Clinched 2025 Nasarawa State U13 Football Championship

….As NFF President Assures Nasarawa State Of Continual Partnership

Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima led a number of the football fraternity to the final of the Aliyu Bello Nasarawa State U13 Inter-Local Government football tournament in Akwanga.

The final which saw an array of dignitaries from different walks of life burst into life when Usman Usman put Lafia LG ahead in the first half before Habila Goerge even the scores in the second half as the game went into Penalties.

Yahaya Umar in goal for Akwanga LG proved decisive for his team as he twice denied the Lafia boys from the spot as Akwanga claimed victory 5-4 on penalties.

While performing the post tournament decoration, Salisu Usman Galadima ensured all processes went through as he led the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (Kigon Gusau) ably represented by Abubakar Barde (Special Adviser on General matters).

In his Goodwill message as delivered by Abubakar Barde, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (Kigon Gusau) praised Alhaji Aliyu Bello PhD for using his Charity Organisation to care for the less privileged and also football to create a platform where talents can be discovered and nature to the gains of society.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau went on to assure the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdullahi Sule as represented by Dr Emmanuel Akabe (Deputy Governor Of Nasarawa State) of the continual support of the NFF in all football related activities.

Earlier the loser’s final, Keffi LG defeated Doma LG 5-4 on penalties after the game had ended one all in regulation time.

For coming fourth Doma LG got a personal donation of ₦300,000 from Dr Emmanuel Akabe (Deputy Governor Of Nasarawa State) while the trio of Keffi, Lafia and Akwanga got the sum of ₦500,000, ₦750,000 and ₦1,000,000 for coming Third, Second and First respectively.

For the individual awards, Usman Usman (Lafia LG) with 6 goals won the top scorers award as Zubairu Aliyu aka Small body big engine (Lafia LG) was voted the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

For his heroics in-between the sticks for Akwanga, Yahaya Umar beat Jibrin Yahaya (Lafia) to the Best Goalkeeper awards with
Mallam Maitala (Akwanga) taking home the Best Coach award.

Other Nasarawa State FA members present included Blessing David (Secretary), Board Members and All Local Government football council chairmen.
