Ambassador Chris Giwa, although still in the mourning mood after the loss of his father, could not hide his joy and satisfaction for the Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande-led Plateau State Football Association, when he received the newly inaugurated Committee for the much-awaited memorial match for his Late father, Da Musa Giwa.
In his words, an elated Ambassador Chris Giwa said: “I thank the PFA and its leadership by Hon. Suleiman Kwande for granting me the request I made and which was not only accepted but approved. I seriously appreciate it. I requested for a friendly match between Plateau United FC and Giwa FC in honour of my father who was not only a fan of Giwa FC, Plateau United and Mighty Jets FC alone, but a fan of football.”
Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Engineer P.D. Gyang, said: “Here are the members of the Committee just Inaugurated by the PFA Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Kwande, to organize and put together a befitting match for Late Da Musa Giwa. We are here first and foremost to commiserate with you and to also hear from your own side how you feel the event should be so that we will be on the same page considering the plans we the Committee members have on ground.”
One of the members of the Committee, Bature Saleh promised on behalf of the Committee that a very good and quality football match will be organized to Immortalize Late Da Musa Giwa.
The said memorial match, which will be played in Kuru, will be played one or two days before the wake-keep of Late Da Musa Giwa.
