In what many will see as a major turn of event, the Organizers of annual Nasarawa North Peace And Unity Football Competitions have stripped Jummai FC of the 2025 edition trophy they won last Sunday in Akwanga.
While confirming the turn of events, Chairman organising committee, Mallam Haladu Akwashiki (Jasper) revealed that Jummai FC fielded ineligible players in the final and that act alone is a capital offence against the ethics of the game.

“Yes I can confirm that we have taken the cup and the price money from Jummai FC as they fielded players that play for professional sides, so that necessitated the decision to strip them of the trophy and hand it to the second placed team, Black Stars FC of Akwanga”.
Black Stars FC of Akwanga led by Haruna Jibrin Maitala are now officially the 2025 champions of the Nasarawa North Peace And Unity Football Competition.
