Newly signed midfielder Taiwo Afolabi has expressed her readiness to play her debut game for Rivers Angels against Ibom Angels on Wednesday.
Afolabi was among 14 players unveiled by the seven-time league champions ahead of the league’s resumption.
“I’m a professional, and I don’t feel pressured playing in a new environment,” Afolabi said.
“Football is the same everywhere. With the training I’ve received from the coaches, I’m 100% ready to make my debut.”
Afolabi, nicknamed “Pocket” for her exceptional passing ability, assured fans of her dedication to the team.
“The fans and people of Rivers State should expect good football and outstanding performance from me. I’m ready to give my best on the pitch.”
Rivers Angels hosts Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Wednesday at 4 pm.
