Benue State FA Chairman who also doubled as the coordinator of the North Central zone of the NPFL U17 Youth League once again showed his humanity side when he doled out the sum of #40,000 naira to kit some underprivileged kids he met at the Lafia City Stadium when he came to inspect the facilities for the last round of group B games of the NPFL Youth League.
Barr. Paul Edeh was not too impressed with the outlook of the kids at the stadium when he came in contact with them, although they were ten in number, the astute administrator put the kids to a sprint race where the top five were kitted.
On running, five boys nick named Gernacho, Messi, striker, Osimhen Jr and Yaya Toure got the nod and were fully dressed.The boys who were very appreciative of Barr. Paul Edeh’s kind gesture thanked him for getting them clothes, shoes and giving them haircuts that made them look good.
Speaking after giving out the money, Barr Paul Edeh said the motive behind the philanthropic act was because he was not pleased as young kids will be looking so unkept.
“I honestly don’t like how they looked hence the reason why I had to pay for the clothes, shoes and their haircuts, hopefully they’ll look and be appreciative of this day”.
The Nigeria Football Federation head Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen was on hand to laud Barr. Paul Edeh for his gesture as he believes that these kids are the future of tomorrow.
