Wan Agara FC and Confluence Stars FC began their NLO25 season with statement wins against Flight FC (Gboko) and FRSC FC at the Lafia City Stadium.

In the first game of the day, Zeal Minds FC of Makurdi shared the spoils with AMG when Zeal Minds Ujah Benjamin’s second half strike canceled James Daniel’s goal.

The quartet of John Danga, Yahuza Bala, Pascal Nyuzogembi and Ayuba Samuel’s delicious strike gave Wan Agara a resounding victory over Gboko based Flight FC.

New boys Si14 FC forced Kogi United to a one all draw after Tope Oyedeji scored against his side in the first minute of play before Salisu Tanko scored to save the blushes of the experienced side.

The best was however saved for the last as Confluence Stars of Lokoja showed grit and character to edge past FRSC FC in a game many termed as the game of the day.

Confluence captain, Aliyu Musa had put his side ahead in the 5th minutes before two goals from Celestine Jude and Shom John turned the tie in favour of the Road Safety boys but two quick goals from Shiaka Bello and Muhammad Mustapha in the 74th and 76th changed the complexity of the game as the boys from the Confluence town take home the full points.

Match Day 2 will see Wan Agara take on Kogi United in the early kickoff as AMG battles FRSC with Zeal Minds trading tackles with Flights FC in a local derby while the fixture between Si14 and Confluence Stars will climax the day’s events.
