Nasarawa State FA Cup: Si14 FC Zooms To Semis As Usman Salisu Galadima Harps On Discipline

Si14 FC of Keffi LGA proved too good as they defeated Nasarawa based City Rollers FC to book a semi final date with Nasarawa United at the 2025 edition of the Nasarawa State FA cup.

Ahmad Abbas put Si14 FC in an early lead when he slotted home from close range after Godday Alhassan failed to handle a cross.

Despite dominating the game City Rollers where unable to turn possession to goals with Sule John in goal for Si14 impressing on multiple occasions.On the resumptions of the second half, City Rollers put more men forward and last year’s top scorer Jamil Ibrahim equalized with a scrabble.

City Rollers charge for the winning goal met a brick wall in John Sule who stood tall to deny Osu Yusuf almost stole the show for City Rollers when his long range curler rattled the cross bar as the referee sounded the final whistle.

In the shootout, John Sule saved two kicks as Si14 FC qualifies to the last four and are set to take on Nasarawa United in the semi final at the Lafia City Stadium.

Reacting after the game, Nasarawa State FA Chairman, Usman Salisu Galadima congratulated Si14 FC for winning the game and urged teams to be more professional in their approach.

“I want to formally congratulate Si14 FC for making it to the next round. They showed the true spirit of sportsmanship despite playing against a very good City Rollers of Nasarawa LGA”.

“I want to also employ all participants to be more professional especially in their conducts as a team and I can assure you all that with zero interests we will encourage the best team to win so as to represent the state at the national level”.

“We will continue to provide an enabling environment for football to continue to grow in Nasarawa State, the soft spoken administrator concluded’.

Next will see Wan Agara FC of Akwanga take on Jman FC of Lafia on Monday 17th of February and the winner will take on FC Basira on the second semi finals.
