Nasarawa State Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima has disclosed the main reason behind the Nasarawa State Governor’s Cup.
While Addressing the media, Salisu Usman Galadima disclosed that the discovery of hidden talents within all the nooks in the state necessitated the move to organise the Governor’s Cup.
“In football, there are some talents that never got the opportunity to get to play to the very top, so the main reason is to create a platform at which youths will be engaged in profitable ventures and not to be social vices within the state”.
“It may interest you all that sports has taken many off the streets, particularly football. This is what we intend to leverage by organising an event that will carry all the local government areas in the state”.
Salisu Galadima rounded up by promising that this event will be historical as friendships will be formed, talents will be discovered and top-class entertainment is assured.All games will be played at the prestigious Lafia City Stadium.
