Fulafia Male Football Team continues with their impressive form at the 2024 edition of the Mailafia Peace And Unity Cup in Daddare after beating Daddare United 3-2 in Daddare.

After beating both AMD FC of Doma and Ishugu United, the school boys needed to avoid defeat of any kind to secure their place in the next round as the winners of the group.

Fulafia got ahead as early as the second minute when striker Henry Yau (Physics 400L) converted from 12 yards after Solomon Ityo (MCB 300) got hacked down in the yard to send a tune for a pulsating encounter.

The Fulafia boys kept pressing and their dominance turned into goal when Ishaq Sulieman latched unto a long clearance to stab home the second in the 36th minutes to extend their lead.

Daddare got a lifeline when the referee spotted an infringement in the Fulafia defence to award a panelty two minutes to halftime as Soja Dio did well the reduce the deficit for his side.

Daddare on their way to redemption poured more men forward as they dominated play as they yet got award another penalty in the drying moments of the game but Goalkeeper did well to deny Soja Dio from 12 yards to preserve Fulafia Tigers FC lead heading into the break.

The second half saw Williams Auta ring some changes as he brought on Madaki Jonathan For Mathias Aondofa of Biochemistry in other to stabilise the midfield and the change yielded instant result when Micheal Christopher of Zoology send a pass to Henry Yau who finished with an aplomb as Fulafia maintained their two goals lead.

A late strike from Daddare United reduced the scores to 3-2 as Fulafia Tigers FC maintained their unbeaten streak at the 24 Mailafia Peace And Unity.

Speaking after the game, William Auta hailed the resilience of his boys despite going a man down they showed great character to have pocketed the maximum points.
