Federal University of Lafia (Fulafia Tigers FC) has said his team will continue to improve after his side walloped Doma based AMD FC at the ongoing Mailafia Peace And Unity Cup in Obi Local.
The tournament which is in it’s eighth edition saw 2023 edition semi finalist began on a positive note when the William Auta tutored side put three past a helpless AMD FC.
Daniel Jacob opened the scoring in the 58th minutes before attacking sensations Henry Yua and Ityo Solomon rounded up the game with their strikes in the 68th and 85th minutes.
While reacting after the game, fullback Abraham Kaika Danladi was elated that he got a win on his tournament debut for his school team.
“I am very happy we won today especially as it happened to be my first start in a competitive game for my school”.
The 300L Biochemistry student based in Akwanga LGA believes his team will continue to improve as times goes on.
“We did very well today and I must give the credit to my teammates for the collective work we did to get the win, with time we will continue to get better as we aim to surpass our previous outing of a fourth place finish”.
“We will hang on till the very last game of the tournament which is the final, the soft spoken wingback disclosed.
Next will be against Ishugu United on Friday, 8th November 2024 at the GSS football pitch, Daddare.
