Niger Tornadoes latest kid sensation and new No.10, Papa Daniel said his mission to Niger Tornadoes is to help the team to achieve successes.
The attacking midfielder who caught the eyes of football fans and admirers during a recent pre-season competition in Jos where he impressed with his sensational skills, said is ready to stamp his authority in the team with excellent performances.
Although, the former junior Int’l and Adanasopor of Turkey player failed to make his much anticipated NPFL debut in Ilorin last weekend as a result of a technical hitch which had since been resolved, the player is inline to make the team this weekend as the Ikon Allah Boys welcomes Nasarawa United for an NPFL match day 2 encounter.
In a chat with Niger Tornadoes FC Media, the young midfield prodigy said he feels happy to be back in the country to relaunch his career through the NPFL.
“It’s feels good to be back home to play in my own country, especially the NPFL, I’m extremely excited – in fact, I can’t wait.”
Papa Daniel who joined Niger Tornadoes from Abuja based club side, Sporting Supreme FC, explained that, he doesn’t have a particular role model, but idolises NPFL legend and Kano Pillars captain, Rabiu Ali (Pele)
He said, he is working extra to help Niger Tornadoes to achieve greater things and also to return to Europe which is his major dream.
Speaking about the NPFL, Papa Daniel said, “my initial perception of the league is that the NPFL is scary because of crowd troubles, but gradually the trend is changing, the fans are more enlightened now unlike back in the days, kudos to the league board for some drastic measures put in place to improve the image of the league.”
The former Nigeria U17 player expressed happiness for being part of the Ikon Allah Boys fold. “I’m happy to be here, all the players and coaches are friendly, I respect everyone and that made my settling in quite easier with the help of my room mate, Ahmed Family who is a nice guy.”
“My message to fans is to come out in their large numbers to cheer the team to victory this weekend, and we are assuring them of our best at all times, all we need is their full support.
