The Chairman of the Abia State Teqball Association, Frank Chinagorom, has expressed his delight and appreciation for Governor Alex Otti’s commitment to the development of Teqball in the state. This follows the successful hosting of the Teqball World Championship Qualifiers, Abia 2024, which saw Abia State emerge as the champion with 5 medals.
Chinagorom praised the Governor’s support, stating, “We are extremely grateful for the support of the Abia State Government led by Governor Alex Otti. His commitment to sports development, particularly Teqball, is commendable, and we appreciate his belief in our vision.”
The Chairman highlighted the impact of the Governor’s support, saying, “The government’s backing made it possible for us to host a successful event, and we look forward to even bigger Teqball events in Abia State with their promised support.”
Chinagorom also acknowledged the efforts of the association, stating, “We wrote letters to almost all states in Nigeria, and although some couldn’t make it, we were pleased to have had 11 states participate in the qualifiers.”
With the success of the qualifiers, Chinagorom is optimistic about the future of Teqball in Abia State, thanking Governor Otti for his commitment to sports development. “We are eager to build on this momentum and make Teqball a household name in Nigeria, starting with Abia State,” he concluded.
