The President, Ex- Iwuanyanwu Nationale Players Association Worldwide, Isaac Mbika has stated that he and members of the Association have remained dejected people and found it hard to believe that former Heartland FC coach, Christian Obi is no longer alive.

Mbika in a press statement which he personally signed said that Coach Christian Obi was such a nice person embedded with good character and that his death is a great loss to Imo State and Nigeria.

Obi died from complications that arose as result of the tragic auto accident that Heartland FC bus was involved in last Friday and Mbika affirmed that he had no exact words to describe the simplicity of the former goalkeeper whose love for God and eagerness to learn was second to none.

“I am still shaky and cannot still believe that Coach Obi is dead because he was such a wonderful man with good character and the fear of God,” Mbika told journalists.

“He was always willing to learn and very truthful to a fault and I on behalf of the Ex- Iwuanyanwu Nationale Players Association Worldwide can only pray that God grant him eternity and also accept his soul.

“We have all been shaken by the manner of his death but we cannot question God. He was a good man and people of his kind are very rare to replace.”
