It’s always easy to blame our indegenous coaches when they fail however, when they perform miracles as in the case that we have just seen in the last two matches not much is said about it
I strongly believe that Africa has what it takes to make a great difference we only need to identify our weak points and seek help where possible or work to improve it ourselves.
For the first time in a long while we have assistant coaches that have each proven themselves and that are still working that is gainfully employed leading teams week in week out.
Such composition helps the chief to see things from different perspectives and I can say that this approach in my opinion could not have been better .
You cannot take away the Nigerian spirit when you have a Nigerian coaching the team. A look at Senegal will tell you that there is nothing better than having your country man coach your team or is it Morocco or the most recent example of cote d ivoire where the impossible was achieved.
I believe that we need to give needed support and also charge to our coaches as well as create the enabling environment for them to survive.
For me it would have been a disaster for a Technical Director responsible for chatting technical development for our teams not to be able to hold his own at a time like this for this I commend Cerezo and wish him and his team the best as they work to ensure we get the tickets for the FWC and AFCON.
