Nasarawa Amazons and Super Falcons talismanic midfielder Josephine Mathias has described her side’s President Federation Cup final loss to Rivers Angels as painful.

“We began the game on fire, got two quick goals, controlled the game for a larger part of the game but lost it at the dying moments”.

Nasarawa Amazons broke into an early lead with two quick goals from Olushola Shobowale before late goals from Taiwo Ajibade and Taiwo Afolabi pushed the game to penalty shootouts.
Esther Adesoji and Ayatsea Hembafan both failed to convert from 12 yards as Rivers Angels claimed their 10th trophy.
