Rivers Angels captain Kenneth Catherine has urged fans and the people of Rivers State to rally behind the team as the league kicks off on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Kenneth expressed gratitude to the Rivers State government, led by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and the Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Christopher Green, for their support and commitment to empowering the girl child.
“We’re prepared for the season, starting with our home match on Wednesday,” Kenneth said in an interview with Jewels of Rivers media. “We’re ready to give our best.”
While declining to reveal the team’s target, Kenneth emphasized their determination to achieve success. “We’re confident in our abilities, and with the backing of our sponsors, we’re ready to take on the challenge.”
Kenneth appealed to fans for their continued support. “We need your support more than ever, especially on Wednesday and throughout the season. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.”
The match between Rivers Angels and Ibom Angels kicks off at 4 pm. on Wednesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
