In form Kwara United striker Emmanuel Ogbole who was included in the Super Eagles CHAN Provisional list has hit the Super Eagles camp in Ikenne ready to take on Ghana later this month.
The Gallant Respect Agency Client was arguably the best player in the Npfl for the month of November after notching 6 goals from five games to be the favourite for the month’s best player award.
The player who is on a season long loan with Kwara United reacted to his first ever call to the National team by thanking God and also revealed what Nigerians should expect from him and the team.
Emmanuel Ogbole also said his invitation to the national team was divine and after previously testing the U20 and missing out on the last day, he promised to make this time count.
“I want to thank those who believe me and never stop supporting my dreams. It was great news for me and my family to have gotten this call and I will put in my very best to make sure Nigeria’s flag is hosted at the 8th Africa Nations Championships in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
“And with the pool of players invited we have all it takes to banish the memories of our last engagement with Ghana and make it to the tournament proper, he concluded”.
Emmanuel Ogbole who was the 2024 Nigeria President Federation Cup Top scorer with eight goals will alongside 29 others jostle to be included in the final list which will take on the Ghana B team first on the 22nd December 2022 in Accra before the return leg will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo six days later.
